As part of our Shared Education link the children took part in an outdoor literacy lesson planned with our partner school. The lesson was based on the story “The Gruffalo’s Child”. This book allowed us to develop our comprehension skills, recounting events, discussing characters and demonstrating an understanding of rhyme. Children made stick puppets, created and labelled a clay Gruffalo, retold the story using puppets and took part in a rhyming rely.
