Sports Day Key Stage 2
Yesterday was our Sports Day and what an exciting day it was!
The weather was perfect, and our kids had a great time during all their races. We kicked things off with our running race, then moved on to the potato spoon race, which is always good fun! After that, we had the long jump and shot putt, where our mini-athletes showcased their skills and lots of determination!!
This year, we introduced a new race called the 800m. Many of our children are passionate about long-distance running, thanks to Declan’s cross-country sessions earlier in the year! This was really impressive and no easy task as the children ran 3 laps of the pitch.
We also had some team events like the relay and tug-of-war between the houses. It was so much fun to see our children cheering each other on and competing together.
And of course, we couldn’t forget our parents’ tug-of-war, which is always fun to watch! Our parents really got into the spirit of things and put their strength to the test as they fought for victory with their team!
We want to thank everyone who came along and supported our children. Your presence made the day even more special. Our pupils are amazing and hopefully they enjoyed the day as much as we did! A big shoutout also goes to our CPS staff who always do an amazing job creating such wonderful events and memories for our kids. 😊
