🌿 Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough! 🐢

8th May 2026

What a wild and wonderful day of learning we’ve had! To celebrate the centenary of the legendary Sir David Attenborough, our classrooms transformed into a hub of conservation and creativity.

🐜 A Morning of Discovery

We kicked things off with a very special guest! One of our talented parents shared their expertise through:

  • Captivating Storytelling: Bringing the natural world to life.
  • Movement Activities: Mimicking the marvelous creatures David has spent his life filming.
  • The Great Bug Hunt: Exploring our own local "habitats" to find some tiny neighbours.

🚜 From the Wild to the Farm

After a quick break, we shifted our focus to the animals closer to home. The children explored the world of farming while keeping an eco-conscious mindset:

  • Painting and crafting to create farm animals
  • Digital Artists: Creating vibrant farm animal portraits using technology.
  • Hands-on Play: Building intricate farmyards with Lego and dough.

"The world is full of wonders, but they are not inexhaustible." — Sir David Attenborough

Today wasn't just about fun; it was about inspiring the next generation of planet protectors. Seeing the children's faces light up as they learned about habitats and conservation was truly the best way to honor a global icon.
