The Sunflower Room 🌻
The Sunflower Room is a happy, caring and supportive space where every child is valued and encouraged to grow. Our class is led by our teacher Miss Jones and three dedicated classroom assistants who work closely together to meet each child’s individual needs.
Each child follows their own personalised timetable, helping them to feel secure, confident and ready for the day ahead. We provide a balance of structured learning at individual workstations alongside lots of opportunities for sensory play, exploration and fun.
We love spending time outdoors, especially in our polytunnel, where the children enjoy planting, growing and caring for flowers and vegetables. These experiences help build confidence, independence and a sense of achievement.
Friendship and inclusion are very important to us. The children have regular opportunities to play and learn alongside boys and girls in mainstream classes, helping them to develop social skills and build positive relationships.
In the Sunflower Room, we celebrate every small step and support each child to shine in their own unique way 🌻
