Today Room 4 had a brilliant time visiting Armagh Planetarium!
Inside the dome theatre, we enjoyed an amazing show all about the different planets in our solar system and spotted some of the most recognisable constellations — we’ll definitely be looking out for those in the night sky! ✨
The exhibits were fantastic, with so much to explore and discover. There were some budding astronauts among us, eager to learn about black holes, galaxies, and space travel — and we even got to touch a real meteorite that fell to Earth many years ago! ☄️
We ended the day by designing and building our own rockets — inspired by real rocket designs — and then launched them using water and compressed air. It was so exciting watching to see whose rocket would travel the furthest! 🧑🚀💦
It was a fantastic day that truly brought our learning to life and has given us so many new ideas to explore back at school. 🌠
