Room 5 were delighted to welcome Brid from Seamus Heaney Homeplace to CPS today for a poetry workshop. They explored the poem A Kite for Aibhin, read it together, discussed the features and message in the poem and then created kites to fly in the playground. This was a brilliant way to link our literacy with Science Week as we investigated the forces needed to fly our kites and evaluated whether the length of the tail impacted the kites ability to fly. A really fun, interactive morning.
