Today, Room 4 took their numeracy learning outside to enjoy the sunshine. We have been exploring compass points and linking them to our understanding of angles.
The children worked in pairs, following and giving directions that involved different movements, as well as turning clockwise and anticlockwise. They also practised identifying the direction they were facing after each turn.
To finish, we put our skills to the test by asking Mrs Nelson to follow our instructions. We checked carefully to see if she ended up facing the direction we had predicted!
It was a fun, active session with lots of hands-on learning 😊
