Room 5 boys and girls enjoyed a visit from Sinead McDermott earlier during our well being day.
Sinead taught an art lesson and the theme was journeys as P7 will soon continue their journey to post primary.
The children were using water colours and explored different brush strokes, using different brushes and they learnt about layering and painting wet on wet. Their art was in the style of David Hockney so we learnt a little about him too.
This was the loveliest experience and Sinead was just wonderful, not only at teaching, but building the children up, encouraging them and talking about the talents we all have. Sinead explained she didn’t realise her artistic talent until she went to secondary school.
A really lovely morning spent learning in a fun way and everyone was so engaged! Definitely masterpieces were created!
