What a delightful morning we had taking part in the RSPB’s Big Bird Watch. It’s an annual event we always enjoy, and today Room 5 buddied up with Room 2 for a bird-spotting walk at Moyola Golf Club.
We loved exploring the grounds while keeping an eye out for birds — with blackbirds being the most common, along with some lovely sightings of robins too. The Room 5 children recorded their observations on Keynote, capturing bird sounds, taking photos and videos, and keeping a tally of their findings. They’ll be sharing all of this on Monday once their activities are complete.
The rain stayed away long enough for us to enjoy a really lovely morning together. Our peer learning was fantastic, and the boys and girls were brilliant throughout. Seeing our oldest pupils being such wonderful role models for our youngest is so special — we couldn’t be prouder of them all. 💛
