Building Buddies Afternoon

We were very encouraged by the turnout for our Building Buddies Challenge which was organised as a follow up to activities held in school to celebrate British Science Week. Dads, grandads and brothers were invited to attend to work alongside the children. Teams were presented with a challenge to design a launcher and receiver to catch a ball of tin foil. The winning design was the device which travelled the furthest distance to land in the receiver. Teams were given identical resources to use and specific rules for launching. It was a very industrious afternoon with lots of amazing designs and great examples of teamwork. A huge thanks to everyone for showing such enthusiasm and helping to make it a memorable occasion for all.
