Room 2 had lots of fun celebrating birthdays in their play. We used some great stories such as “Happy Birthday Mr Birthday,” “ The Fairytale Cake,” and “ the Birthday Surprise” for inspiration. We had lots of work to do writing lists to get ready for a party, making birthday cards and invitations and of course creating our own recipes. We had fun making buns and jelly and enjoyed using our senses to explore and identify the flavours of crisps and sweets without relying on our sense of sight.
