Day 1 at Gortatole Outdoor Education Centre has been packed with fun and adventure! 🌿
After settling in and getting their beds made, the children enjoyed a tour of the beautiful grounds before enjoying a home cooked lunch and heading off to their first activities. Two groups had a fantastic time kayaking and canoeing, even braving a jump into the water—and giving the teachers a good splashing! 💦 Meanwhile, the other group explored Boho Cave, learning all about its history, navigating through the darkness, and identifying fascinating fossils.
Dinner was a big hit, with everyone enjoying a delicious pasta bolognese to refuel after such a busy day. This evening brought even more excitement with orienteering around the property, full of fun and a bit of friendly competition. Before supper, the children also enjoyed group games in the sports hall and relaxed with board games in the common room.
A fabulous first day had by all! ✨
