🌍 Eco Day Fun in Room 2! 🌱
Room 2 had a fantastic time celebrating Eco Day with lots of engaging and meaningful activities. We began by sharing a story about a clever magpie who discovered how recycling helps protect our environment. The children eagerly identified which items belong in our blue recycling bins—great job, everyone!
Throughout the day, the class worked cooperatively to create their own junk-model vehicles, linking perfectly with Road Safety Week. Mid-morning, we put our learning into action by practising safe travel on the bus. All the children wore their seatbelts and hi-vis vests as we made our way to the library.
At the library, we enjoyed a lovely story about a worm and learned just how important this little creature is in helping prepare soil for plants to grow.
We finished our day with a road safety message to take home to our parents to check that our car seats or booster seats are the correct size.
