As part of our celebrations for European Day of Languages, Room 3 had a very special visitor! One of our parents, who is French, came in to share his language and culture with us. We learned how to say some French words and phrases, discovered interesting facts about life in France, and talked about some of the traditions that make the country unique.
He also told us about French food, famous landmarks, and what it is like to go to school in France. This afternoon the children were delighted to taste and enjoy some French treats, including croissants and chocolate waffles. We also played exciting games that helped us practise the language while having fun and Niall rewarded our efforts with sweets. Thank you so much Niall!
Everyone joined in with great enthusiasm, and there was lots of laughter and smiles. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate languages and learn more about another European country. We are very thankful for his time and generosity—it made our European Day of Languages extra special! 🥐🇫🇷
