Fairtrade Baking / British Science Week

A sweet treat for Primary 1 and 2 as they return to school today! Children had fun observing how chocolate changed state from a solid to a liquid as it was warmed and then cooled down to become a solid sticking together the Rice Krispies to make a tasty treat. This activity was linked to Fairtrade Fortnight as children were asked to recall the importance of looking out for the Fairtrade Logo. It was also the first in a series of science lessons linked to British Science Week during which we will be using our observations skills to take note of physical changes.
