P6/7 had the ultimate experience yesterday of attending a Rugby Festival in the home of Ulster Rugby, Kingspan Stadium in Belfast.
It has been a sheer delight to have Dean Talbot from Rainey Old Boys RFC coaching our children since Christmas and his weekly session has been a highlight of our week for boys and girls alike.
On Friday we visited Kingspan for the festival hosted by Ulster Rugby and what an experience that was for our children to play in such a prestigious setting. They may not have won every game but they fought hard, scored a number of tries and enjoyed every moment of tackling and playing.
The team enjoyed a tour of the locker rooms and we all enjoyed many photo opportunities as well as some tasty donuts and an Ulster Rugby flag!!
We maybe shouldn’t add that the bus took us to Windsor Park initially (!!) and that meant we got to see it too! Not inside, but the outside before we continued on to Kingspan.
A wonderful day which no doubt will remain in our children memories for a long time.
