NRC Visit

20th May 2026

Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting visit to the NRC Magherafelt campus, where they had the opportunity to explore the wide range of courses and career pathways on offer. Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of engaging activities across different subject areas. In Science, they learned about water and discovered how it can be split into hydrogen to create energy. During the Computer session, pupils explored technology by creating AI-generated images. In Art, they experimented with colourful Pop Art designs, while Literacy and Maths activities challenged them to think creatively and work together. The pupils also visited the study rooms to learn about future career opportunities, including engineering, beauty therapy, early years studies, and healthcare professions. The visit was both educational and inspiring, giving everyone a valuable insight into college life and the many exciting opportunities available at NRC.
