Today, as part of Outdoor Learning Week, the boys and girls in Room 3 went out around our village to explore number. This linked perfectly with Talk Money Week. We had many thoughtful discussions about needs and wants, how we can use our money wisely, and the important role money plays in our everyday lives. We also explored how much money is used in day-to-day situations and how numbers are all around us — from prices in shop windows to house numbers and signs. The children enjoyed applying their maths skills in real-life contexts and thinking about how money connects to our community.
What a lovely time we had together learning in our community!
