Outdoor Learning with Primary 3 and 4! πΏπ’
11th Sep 2025
Today, our Primary 3 and 4 pupils enjoyed taking their numeracy learning outside, where they explored the power of loose parts play. Using natural and recycled materials such as sticks, stones, plastic pots, and blocks, the boys and girls worked in groups to create imaginative visual representations of numbers. They carefully built models showing hundreds, tens, and units, helping them see and understand place value in a practical, hands-on way.
Learning outdoors not only makes numeracy more engaging and meaningful, but it also encourages collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. The pupils were proud to share their unique designs and explain how their structures represented different numbers. Activities like this show how outdoor learning can spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and build confidence while making learning active and fun!
Excellent work everybody!!π€©
