While P7 were away yesterday, P6 had a wonderful day filled with fun activities.
They started off with their STEM challenge which they’ll continue over the next couple of days along with their P7 peers in their groups. The challenge was to build the strongest bridge and this will be tested using a cup full of coins. Every group was given the same materials and there was a lot of discussion and problem solving involved in making decisions about the design and structure. We looked at bridges around the world (different types of bridges) as well as bridges in Northern Ireland as we learnt about Brunel.
Then P6 made Oreo balls! This was great fun and they tasted delicious!
After swimming and some hockey practice for those away over the next few days, everyone else enjoyed a drawing activity or getting outside into the lovely sunshine. We finished our day off with an ice lolly 😍😊🤩
