Palaeontologists at work 🦕🦖🪨
4th Dec 2025
Today in Room 3 we took our World Around Us learning outdoors and brought our ‘Bones and Fossils’ topic to life! During our carousel of activity-based tasks, our boys and girls dug for fossils, built dinosaurs and fossil structures using loose parts, chalked their findings, and stepped into the role of palaeontologists on a mission — and so much more! 🦕🦖🪨
In CPS we are incredibly fortunate to have such great outdoor spaces, including our Forest School area and poly tunnel, which provide meaningful, hands-on opportunities for exploration, creativity and connection with the World Around Us.
Outdoor learning continues to play an important role in developing curiosity, problem-solving and confidence — and today our learners truly shone!🌟
“Outdoor learning doesn’t just teach children about the world — it lets them experience it with all their senses.” 🌤️🍃🪨🌳🐾
