Room 4 had some fun trying some rationing recipes this week. We tried cottage pie yesterday (as it was on the dinner menu anyway so we ordered a couple of extra portions!) and then today we made pancakes!! They were very popular....even though they had no sugar in them! Thank you Mrs Clarke for your wonderful culinary skills!
Tomorrow we are going to sample an eggless cake from war times and compare with our own chocolate cake that we would be made today 😋
