Boys and girls in Room 5 were very busy this week. We had a great week of learning!
We were learning about the different noun types and sorted different nouns into groups of abstract, collective, common and proper nouns. We also chose our AR reading books so we can get off to a great start with our reading this year.
In numeracy we were exploring mega numbers to one million and beyond. We played different games eg bingo to consolidate our learning and we also enjoyed some outdoor learning where we had to organise ourselves into the correct place value position to match the number Mrs McCusker called out!
Off to a great start R5. A super bunch of wee learners who certainly showed this week ‘we can do hard things’ which was our first positive affirmation of the year! Everyone was able to share a hard thing they tackled this week and understood we can all do hard things as our verse in Philippians 4: 13 says that we can do ALL things through Him who gives us strength. 💪
