Room 5 have been busy today combining their technology skills in a fun and creative challenge! ❄️🤖
The children worked in teams to design and build a snowplough that could move “snowballs” from one place to another. Once their designs were ready, they took on an extra challenge — using Sphero robots to move their snowploughs. To make this work, they had to code their Spheros, testing, adapting and improving their programs along the way.
There was lots of problem-solving, decision-making and redesigning as the children realised what worked (and what didn’t!) — and most importantly, a big focus on teamwork. Everyone had a role, everyone contributed, and each group worked together to move their project forward.
We’ll be finishing and testing our designs on Monday (with more photos to follow), but so far the children have made fantastic progress — we’re very proud of their creativity, collaboration and perseverance! ⭐
