Titanic Trip

7th May 2026

What a fabulous day the Room 5 children had at the Titanic Centre in Belfast!

We had a wonderful time exploring the exhibition and learning all about the Titanic — from how the ship was built and what Belfast was like at that time, to the tragic events surrounding its sinking and the investigations and searches for the wreckage that followed.

The children also learned about the passengers and crew, including stories of both the survivors and those who sadly lost their lives. We enjoyed seeing many fascinating artefacts and discovering what life was like on board the ship.

We also enjoyed a Solve the Case workshop where we looked at different suitcases of evidence to work out who the passengers were.

To finish our visit, we boarded the Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line vessel. The children loved exploring the different parts of the ship and comparing it to the Titanic. It was a fantastic day full of learning, discovery, and memorable experiences for everyone!
