Room 1 have had a variety of learning experiences outdoors linked to their theme of the Cold Lands. We have used chalk to create images, painted with ice and made symmetrical pictures. The trikes remain a firm favourite with everyone as does the mud kitchen where we have sampled a variety of winter dishes. Children have developed their balance and jumping skills following directional symbols they have used their throwing and number skills with the snowmen skittles. At construction they have developed parking zones for trikes and more recently created shelters. We have respected nature and shown kindness threading food for the birds. Throughout this we have been learning and having fun with our friends.
