Where was the train station in Castledawson?

Room 1 headed out for a walk in search of evidence of a train station. We walked along Main Street and spotted many old buildings but no signs of a station! Our first clue was the sign post Station Road. We walked along this road and stopped at the Doctor’s surgery where we looked at a picture which showed the road now and then. On our walk we met local residents who told us that  red pillars from the station had been found in their garden and evidence of the signal house. During road repairs some rail tracks had be uncovered in the road. We all agreed that it would have been fun to travel on a steam train.
